Bad/No Road Maintenance

Hiya all.

With winter approaching thought I'd point out this very useful site for reporting problems with road maintenance and general upkeep issues. The site automatically refers issues to the council - and you can have a look at what other people are reporting in your area.

The site is one of a few run/developed by MySociety which enable the ordinary man in the street (no pun intended) to keep tabs on authority. Good use of information technology. Information in our hands makes "them" more accountable.

Its a good idea.....I believe the council can squirm out of compensation if a pothole hasn't been reported yet.....isn't there a proper site for that? Not sure its this one?

Lewisham Council seem to have a good system in operation, download an app to your smartphone and take a pic, send to the council and receive a report when it is dealt with. Generally seems a good idea and hopefully will catch on over here.
