One thing to bear in mind is that the auto version of the T2 only has a 2 ton tow limit rather than the manual's 2.8 ton.

Correct.... I am pushing down the pedal :sly

With you now - assuming you mean when its in Drive (as opposed to "third"). In that case my comments above apply. If it only does it when its cold then don't worry unless it gets worse, and if it does it when its warm, just try easing off the pedal and it should change up....pressing down hard or quickly on the accelerator makes it 'kickdown' into a lower gear. You can test this by cruising at, say 50mph in top gear, then flooring it - you will feel it change down a cog.

Cheers for the replies gents. I have been seeing quite a few 3 litre autos for sale. These seem to have the air scoop offset towards the driver's side. Are these the imports that some of you have mentioned?

Is there a downside to getting an import? Someone told me a few years ago that Jap imports (he was on about Subaru's) weren't sealed properly underneath so were prone to rust in the UK's damp climate. Is that true or is it a bit of BS?

The 3.0 (ZD30) engined Terrano's all have the IC air intake offset to the O/S for RHD.
As far as I am aware the vast majority of these were built in Spain by Nissan for the European market, so not likely to be an "import"
