How about Eynsford! Its got a ford, and a nice pub, all though it does get busy round there but could meet by the ford and drive to another pub close by?

OK, not far from dartford tolls either just at Swanley jnc of M25. We could have a little play in the ford then drive down the A20 to a pub called the Portabello in West Kingsdown ok for families and has large car park

Seems fair to me as the September 1's gonna be at Colchester at 'Bures' for a 'play n pay' day

Been to Eynsford a few times, lovely place good size ford. gets deep in the winter.:thumb2:thumb2

Got a castle ruin and bird of prey centre nearby.

My kids (and me) loved swimming in the river

My youngest, could not swim at the time but body boarded down the weirs.:clap

Weirs apart only knee deep.

Proper place .... theres always a but

GETS BLOODY BUSY WHEN HOT

Come off at junction 3 of the M25,onto LONDON ROAD (A20) onto GORSE ROAD (MAIN ROAD) to roundabout. Take third exit onto DARTFORD ROAD where you will find a PETROL STATION DA40DX at 11:00 am.! We will then depart at 11:15 with 'mundy' taking over.!​

is that a bank holiday weekend?
if so and its a half decent day you wont be able to move in the village,my mate used to live there and its bloody chaos on a bank holiday weekend,kids playing in the ford,people walking through it,mind you if it chucks it down,as it usually does on a bank holiday weekend it will be ok

yeah i could pop down,only 1/2 hour from me,my kids like it down there,you can go round the back by the cricket pitch,usually a bit quieter round there,take the fishing nets and catch a few tiddlers,no 4x4s across the pitch though,by order of the parish council!!

Looks like a nice place. presumably not advisable to try driving across when the level is at the 6ft mark How come the sun always seems to shine in England in Summer? All we get is wind and rain, even in Summer
