What happened is i sold welding set for £400 buyer didnt want it ebay just said do the despute thing get your fee back so ive lost nothing so would the court force the buyer to pay £400 or take the view that ive lost nothing so side with the buyer. If it was legally binding i should have been able to claim the £400 for the item

as the law stands thats exactly what should happen. but the buyer could plead all sorts of crap and maybe pay £1 a week and you're welder-less:(

But if he wasn't a man of straw and it was a Ferrari......

but the court could take ages, two years wouldn't be unusual, and all that time you would have to keep the car hanging around, and still you might loose :nenau

I think ebay is a game of chance, slap your stuff on there and hope for the best, it's about all you can do

your unconsciously Freudian use of the word "stumped" will suffice....:augie

how do you know it was unconcious?
definition stump:

1. The part of a tree trunk left protruding from the ground after the tree has fallen or has been felled.
2. A part, as of a branch, limb, or tooth, remaining after the main part has been cut away, broken off, or worn down.

there are more :augie

stop already, my groin is aching

Why don't we try it out??:nenau

I'll set up a one day auction for a 1p piece for 1p.:D
We can all set up our snipers for 10p at 3 seconds,:thumb
Daved can watch the auction and place a last second bid of 100 Quid,:augie
And we can look at the results;)

Edit: Just read the end properly. Would go to daved for about 11p.

All the sniper tool does it bid your max bid at the last few seconds. So for example of your max bid was £200 for something. And someone else using a sniper's max bid was £180 you would have got it for £180.
But in theory someone could have their max bid at £199 so you would of got it for £199 as yours is still the highest bid.

I usually only use snipers if something ends late at night, As my hand is fast enough to sniper. If I don't forget about the item. :lol

It would then go to the person who bid first, Could be down to milli seconds. The other bidders bids won't go through as a bid needs to be higher.
