how do I drill a hole through stainless steel?

Cobalt drills work best, but new good quality standard drills should just about do it, plenty of lubricant, centre punch hole, and go up in steps is best.:thumb2

Rustic

where did you price your bits up steve?
I went for m12 rose joints and all the fittings in marine grade stainless plus a new polybush kit from milners and it comes to just under 45 quid.
to fit a decent set of standard droplinks and polybushes was around 35 quid so not that much in it really.

agree with pete on locktite to keep it all together.

is your rose joint the same length as the one I got?
and what size bottom bolt did you go for?

prices. joints from ebay 12 quid each. misalignment washers a quid each.

maybe I should of gone straight to milners it may be tricky getting half inch sizes.
I ant had time to go shoppin for the other bits yet as the weathers dry so im workin

Don't worry about the height if you plan on a susp lift.

Mine are 50mm from the bottom of the thread to the centre of the hole.cant measure the full length yet as they have not arrived yet.
They are £10.50 each.
I have gone for a 90mm long bolt ,m12x30 stainless repair washers and a new poly bush kit from milners.
Only thing I haven't ordered yet are the bolts for rose joint to arb.:doh
Will get me ruler out again.

might I suggest you put a specific list on here for all the parts.
in one easy list for anyone else wanting to do the mod:thumb2
