Hi guys got one problem sorted now seems I have another !!!

First really cold day for ages and went out in the truck pulled off as normal up the hill and I had a car up my ars so I put my foot down in first gear revs went round to 4k rpm slowly then into 2nd gear put my foot down again revs slowly built up a little then the truck started violantly bunny hopping with my foot flat to the floor????

Only just managed to get to the top of the hill then took my foot off the throttle and changed into 3 rd gear put my foot down a bit and it felt like it was holding back then smooth holding back then smooth again but very quickly, very hesitant to say the least never done this before !!!

No eml light
No warning lights

What the hell is it now

This truck is really testing my patience and I've got a feeling the snow is on the way !!!

r u running vegie oil if so it needs thinning either by adding 50% diesel or adding a bit of petrol also have u looked as main fuel filter and mini filter sounds like ur car is not getting enough fuel when it needs more i.e ok on light throttle and idle but when u rev it needs loads more fuel hope that points u in the right direction.:thumbs

did you clean the maf ? checked the mini filter ? have no idea what other probs you have had but these are the most common for poor acceleration

.

Hi guys I've checked for the mini filter I don't have one in the pump or in the banjo.

Replaced fuel filter in last 3 months

No leaks from the fuel lines replaced them with rubber ones

The maf sensor mmmmmm

£404 + vat from Nissan
£270 + vat from euros

It's the hitachi one not the cheap Bosch one

So before I go down the road of replacing that I want to make sure that is the problem

I think it's that switch on the accelerator. Had this issue now and then and when I checked codes came up for that.

Ah good point Fez.
There's a micro switch on the throttle and can be sticky . 50p from maplins or a squirt with contact cleaner might fix it :thumbs
Easy to check too, just undo the wires and join together :D

Hi i notice you said you changed the fuel lines ? when i changed mine i had a problem at a later date a bit like yours. as others have said i changed the main filter it was clean but i changed it any how. and it still did it NOW what it turned out to be was were the union bolt goes into the filter i undid it and rust from the old fuel lines was blocking the hole as the fuel goes into the filter. i cleaned out the rust from the old metal fuel lines and after that it went like a rocket ,good luck
