after travelling home from work thursday i could smell brakes burning, it was pouring with rain so i couldnt investigate. :doh friday when i got to work i could smell them again,:doh i touched both front auto hubs, to find the o/s (drivers side) to hot to touch, i nursed it home after work, then after an hour leaving it cool started stripping, i found the top caliper slider was sticking and a lot of dust under the caliper piston dust rubbers. after a liberal coating of copper grease everything is free and moving again, the brake pads need changing, heat has cooked them and they are starting to break apart. iv`e ordered a set, they should be in stock on monday. my t2 drives a lot better no resistance against the throttle,
when the pads arrive i will fit them, cleaning the n/s and copper greasing them aswell. is there anything i should look out for whilst undertaking this job, everyone ive spoken too says its the caliper thats at fault, but since iv`e cleaned it it seams to be working fine.:thumb2
