A chat room wasn't what I meant, to be honest I can't type fast enough to keep up in those places A joke section isn't really what I had in mind either as there are enough jokes elsewhere out on the net.

What I meant was, can the Pub be allowed to be just that, an area where people can talk about almost anything and get to know each other without being frowned upon for not talking 4x4 all the time.

not down to me bat, but it was calmed down before because it got way out of hand when these things are left to run, you know exactly what i mean from before with the likes of parksey etc

up to mick mate as you know i just keep it running and fix it when it's broke, admin stuff left to admin lol

as far as im concirned

to be honest it would be a lovely idea, but that i was assuming. was the idea of the pub area anyway...

for general chat. ideas and so on.

the trouble is you can post what you like. and what you think is a good topic someone else probably wont.

i have done a few post with what i consider to be good topics. of my experience of the club my observations if you like

although newish here thought you might like to have an open discussion about how you all would like the club to go, as it enters into new ownership.
sadly i was wrong , instead of adding your own ideas of how the club could be improved you all just sat back and said your ideas are not welcome , or your too new to have an opinion

well that just fine. but the club clearly has problems in the way it is run and and paid for... thats why its all become too much for mav

if things dont change it will become a burden for the new owner too , so its my guess changes will happen . and no one will know how you all want it to go or your opinions

i personally am out of ideas and clearly to now to have an opinion, so rest assured im going to just sit back and enjoy the site, for all its useful information and help out on posts where i can

and if changes happen well just have to live with it

Bat, we do already do this mate there is loads of non 4x4 related stuff we all get stuck into it! I have run threads on poetry and are you a European and all sorts and no one has ever locked or censored any of them, the only ones that get censored are the trouble making and potentially offensive stuff. very few people complain and in my experience it is the same each time, some fairly new decideds they know best and stir things up and then vanish.

I am 100% in agreement with you, but we are already doing this just look at the last 20 threads and look at all the non 4x4 stuff we chare and enjoy, i think the success of this site is the natural balance it has found and the new owner, should take notice of this and learn from all the hard earned experience of Mav shark1e and other mods.

You can already talk about anything that you like the only guidelines are rally about bad language and racially or sexist or other such comments, other than that it is pretty much anything goes!
