right i went out and got some new bits the other week for the pc and it is driving me mad

old setup was
asus p5b board
ddr2 800mzh 4gb balistix ram
q6600
ati hd 5770
corsair gs600

new set up is
gigabyte g41mt-d3
4gb ddr3 10600 hypertec ram
q6600
ati hd 5770
corsair gs600

both were running win 7 64, had a few problems with the asus programs on both machine so they were removed and made it stable on the old one

right had no problems with the old setup, but the new one well thats a different story

i have been getting some bsod alot of them it seem they all resolve around the same area

errors i get are

irql_not_less_or_equal

page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

memory_management

i have ram memtest86+ for 8hrs with no errors and i have also ran ati tool for 4hrs with no errors and i have ran the windows mem test with no errors

so i dont think this is memory or gpu causing the problem

i was getting artifacts on the witcher with the original ccc and drivers and decided to update them which fixed the artifacts in the witcher whioch now runs perfectly fine

i can run nfs shift 2 unleashed, dragons age 2 and dragons age origins on highest with no problems, i dont have any problems once the system is up and running, but alot of the problems seems to come from startup with the errors above appearing and on restart system is fine and will work all day or all week with out a problem

this was a fresh install of windows 7 64

can any one help in this problem or is any one else encountering the same problem ?

the bit that is confusing me is the fact that once windows is up and running the system is fine and will run games/apps/adobe cs5 perfectly fine

temps of the system are at idle

34 board

46 cpu

42 gpu

under load

39 board

50 cpu

48 gpu

i am a loss with this one windows has been installed 3 times now and the same results each time

so first turn on of the day one of the above errors will show up and then you can restart or shut down and reboot all day with not 1 error

i get no stutter or artifacts in any apps or games so it cant be a hardware issue

so my guess is it is a driver issue but all drivers are upto date and all programs and external devices work perfectly all day

any one any good a read dump files on here ?

I had a similar issue with my last custom built machine I did, but this was with 8GB DDR3.

My issue was with voltage from the motherboard to the RAM.

Increased my voltage to the RAM (only VERY slightly) and issues were resolved.

Although this may not be your issue, may be worth Googling.

IRQ not less or equal 99% of the time is a driver issue when 2 devices conflict, again had this problem before, turned out it was a joystick I had plugged in, it had been there for 2 months and issues started to occur after the two months, so may be worth removing any peripheral devices 1 by 1 (i.e. printers, joysticks or anything using USB or any other ports) and see if this resolves the problem.

The other errors defo sound like RAM problems, usually RAM is paired in 2's I assume with yours you got 2 sets of 2GB or 4 sets of 1GB, these must go in the retrospective paired slots. i.e. on the mother board sticks 1 and 2 would usually go in slots 1 and 3 and sticks 3 and 4 would go in slots 2 and 4. Hope that makes sense?

yes found an xbox driver was causing one problem but that was sorted in the old system

yes 2x2gb dual channel (only 2 channels on board) ram comes back perfectly fine tho with memtest86+ which removes windows out of the equation and the memtest that runs in windows

hardware is coming back fine

the only thing i can think it could be is the ati driver or catalyst

its just that first start up and then it will run perect untill it has 6hrs rest or more
