Alarm problem!

Hi all

This is my first post on this great forum!!

My question is:- i have a v reg '99 terrano 2, bought a month ago changing from a ford galaxy, am wondering is the alarm connected to the horn or has it got a seperate sounder???

an wondering cos have tested my alarm and the indicators flash when activated but no loud noise!!

yep its seperat.

mine is behind the rear panel the other side to the jack, if you take the cover off by the lights you maybe able to feel it.

mines had it wires broken off. so is quiet too. pain to get to and fix as all trim panel have to come off.
