Don't stress about it. That light hasn't been known to harm anyone!

:augie

Joking aside there are a couple of ways of sorting it, none of which have worked for me. Someone will be along shortly with a more helpful answer.

I just get mine switched off by my mechanic when I'm near him, in between I just ignore it.

Check out the downloads section, theres a how to guide on there. It worked for me earlier this year. Dead easy no fancy tools or plugging things in.

like the pictures but not sure i am up to tampering with the electrics.

why would the light be flashing? i was hoping it would be a fuse or something simple.

also can I turn the passenger airbag off? as I have a baby on the way

cheers in advance guys

I've heard rumour that on some of the later high spec ones if you open the passengers side door on the side of the dash that it covers is a red ringed key barrel with all of the kid in a baby seat logos round it. Put the key in, turn clockwise presumably and then you should have some sort of dash light.

The sensors could have gone bad buddy, these were always coming on in the Terrano when I fort brought it, just means the previous owner knew the rest truck too :sly

it has the said label inside the passenger door but no keyhole!!

how hard is a sensor change??

I've got a feeling it would involve either taking the whole seat apart or snipping into the original harness, either way you'd need to be a little electrical proficient otherwise you could end up with an air bag to the face

Give the download a go, if it doesn't work, get a tin of electrical spray and take the plugs apart under the seats, spray the plugs and put back together and try the download again.
