Here you go folks :D

Doing it at long last :augie :lol

Colin was the 1st,trial & error but works 100% :clap :bow
Pete was the 2nd,learned from Colin & slightly neater inside :clap
Adz is 3rd,done the Essex way :naughty :sly :lol


The instructions & tools needed...

1.Phillips screw driver
2.Flat head screw driver
3.10mm socket
4.Hole drill (neater :augie or grinder :doh)
5.Stanley knife
6.Scissors
7.Tape measure


1.Open up bonnet & remove nut holding grommet

2.Remove plastic trims :-
A.On the sill
B.The engine release

3.Remove glove box

4.Remove the air box & unplug it

5.Pull back carpet to reveal sound proofing

6.Cut a 3" square in the sound proofing where the grommet was.
This can be located as there are a couple of cuts in the soundproofing.

7.Cut the hole in the bulkhead to suit the size pipe you have.

it works well, Mrs Zippy didnt like the idea though... and now ive got the K&N cant have any snorkle..

Ofcourse you can have K & N with a snorkle or Extreme air:augie

in the original airbox as opposed to an induction kit?

and BTW, any issues with Strata in the dark Pete?

Strata was fine in the dark, great fun and woooo wierd, brill dusk atmosphere:rolleyes:
We did the gap at dusk and the steps in the dark,that was a challenge:sly
Got to use all the lights though :thumb2:cool:

think i'm gearing up for a midnight thrash.:cool:

then I might go and do Strata afterwards....:lol

Well its 90% finished :doh

Just need to acquire a nice bit of flexi tube to go from the bulk head to the roof :rolleyes:

It's gonna sound like a really dumb question, but is there enough 'flex' in those short lengths of silicone hose to allow for engine and body movement?

you could have painted the bulkhead blue instead of black adz, what size flexy do you need? :nenau:naughty

Only came in black or white :( its some special water proof / heat resistant / hole sealing paint thats used on boats :nenau but the me uncles department not mine :lol i just do the grinding :naughty
Will paint over it in blue once i've finished anti rust painting (in grey)

70mm & about 5 - 6 foot to be safe as i cant make up me mind which way to route it :doh
