Accelertor pedal position sensor.

Have been getting the yellow engine light on for a bit now on and off, runs great park her up go back & when I try to rev her the light comes on & no rev's.

Just used the accessing codes download & got flash code 43, which says it's the Accelertor pedal position sensor, as anyone taken one apart to clean it or is this a no no & I have to find anew one?

A few have managed to strip them & clean them up with good results m8 so it may be worth a try :smile:

Quite an easy job ,take your time and you'll be driving a different motor, with no jerky pedal movement !

Funny enough we have a draw full of that sort of stuff..

accelerator position sensor

if cleaning it fails have got one on the 1997 t 2 that i'm breaking.will have to check part number etc,to see if it would fit.will put it to one side incase you need it.

Thanks, just had it of, I think the unit I need it the switchs the one with the 2 plugs on top & the micro switch, the pedal is fine with no hard spots.
Pm us what you after for them please & when your going to start parting her.
