This has been on since i bought the motor last week, but today was getting a strange noise from the front wheel, after getting underneath to inspect i fount that the abs sensor cable had become unclipped and was worn right through on the inside of the wheel,i joined the wires back togther but the warning light is still on,does it have to be reset or do i need a new sensor?

Common problem is the ABS Sensor Cable, usually N/S/F for some reason. First of all have you got polarity correct? think they are black and brown so easy to get wrong. Also was that the only break? I had to replace cable from back of sensor through to the plug in the engine bay. Last year when I priced up a sensor they were around £250!!!! don't try and take your old one out as it'll break into bit's.

i did get the polarity right and i manged to get the sensor out with some gentle prying:augie

If you got the sensor out without damaging it then go out and buy a lotto ticket because your flippin lucky!!!!!

Unless you've still got a break in the cable then I can't suggest what else to try. Good Luck with it.

id be thining change teh cable all of it..

as it could have other breaks in there, after all its been pulled as its cought up.
