ABS Fault

Ok so went out yesterday & the ABS light came on & stayed on.
Checked codes today & got
21 Front right speed sensor - open circuit &
35 Left rear speed sensor - open circuit
So are they linked diagonally & something other than Sensor is at fault or is it just coinsidence ? cheers

Not sure if it's the same as I had, but a few years ago the light came on intermittently and was traced ( after checking this site) to a broken cable from the abs sensor. Cut out the old bit, put a new piece in and wrapped the lot in shrink tube. Never had an issue since (fingers crossed).

open circuit means not connected so most likely broken wire, and in your case two as they are not linked, Rick

Strange 2 went at the same time though, ?

worth checking the main connector block on the ABS unit for corrosion, Rick

All good again

Turns out it was only the front right sensor, the rear must have been a red herring ? Checked both with meter only front was naf so patched the cable so all good, :thumbs
