i served in the light infantry then the UDR and finally RIR and it dawned on me when serving in the 1st Battalion light infantry and we were all on parade it was awesome sight to see, the square full but now thinking back im upset because todays figure of 300 is exactly the amount of men that would represent a full battalion of good men.

i was offered to consider private work overseas to train and protect but when i seen there yearly death figures which i was astonished and kept quiet, i thought wisely and family more important then money.

Very sad, my heart goes out to their families.
They rejected my application when I was a teenager, in a way now I am older and have a little more sense I'm kind of glad.
