i don't know if anyone knows this but if the plod pull you up and there on private property, and they find a serious fault or insurance is not in order, and they get a recovery firm to remove your motor to a compound they are breaking the law, it is an offence to recover a vehicle from private property.
my mate borrowed a van and there was a police check area on a pub forecourt, when he said he did'nt have any paper work with him they had a garage remove the vehicle to a compound, in the mean time he phoned the guy who owned the van, he came down and had aword and got nowhere(any driver insurance)as van had gone, he swiftly made a few calls and the end result was
in court the garage was ordered to repay all costs to owner, garage has to claim the money from police, and the magistrate was not very happy with plod, :thumb2
one for the driver. :clap:clap
