Is in order to celebrate that it would appear I have sorted the tail gate seal.
I woke up the other morning at 02.30 & it just came to me................ Why not just move the seal around some so the damaged/squashed part is at the bottom.
I did notice that there is two styles of rubber seal attached to each other thus making a ring, but I gave it go anyway.

It's passed the water in can test & is as dry as a Nuns woopsie :clap

Rick. I will still have a seal from you though, you still haven't given me a price!!
Still waiting on your mates number too (not number two :lol )

The little plastic pins that look like tiny men standing on a surf board have to be relocated in the rubber as most of the holes don't line up. It's no hardship I just used a hole dowel & some curled ended long nose pliers to get them home.
The one on the very bottom nearside corner were the door sliders attached is fiddly, I removed the two bolts & slid the slider down out of the way.
