I must say its nice to see you softy southerners getting the drift of real weather :lol

Coldest place overnight wed/thursday on met office "official measurement" was Benson at -17.9 whereas up here in the harsh north we only made -6 :clap

three miles away as the crow (or helicopter these days, I'm sure they just fly low between Abingdon and Benson just to piss me off!) flies....and the -3c at bedtime dropped to -17.7C later last night  ...and its started snowing again.....and to think my missus is moaning about having to spend next week in Dubai on business - say what?????

Well how ever cold it gets looks like I'm gonna have to go out and do my bit. I'm now on Standby with RAYNET to go and ferry Nurses and Carers around yorkshire.

-12 here last night. Coldest I can ever remember though min temp ever recorded over here was -27 in 1963

-6 in Co Waterford when leaving for work this morning. Was in Co. Limerick yesterday and had +5 degrees and sunny for the afternoon. See some council lads out with that white salt stuff throwing it out with shovels, must be the stuff imported from Spain. Great stuff that. Pity they only had enough for about three days.

Supposed to be heading to Limerick for weekend, but at them tropical tempatures, this ill stay here and enjoy the ice and snow!!! :D :D

was -8 last night, coldest we got was -12 christmas day night. according to news last night the met office can ONLY give a 10 day out look, BUT in their opinion this gonna last a few weeks and more snow for weekend!! :D :D :D

going off topic, was reading a thread on thermostats, i phones a few auto parts and they say i cant get a 88 thermo for my 98 TII, how ever rang nissan and i can get it for 36 euro no gasket! :( might just order one from a UK supplier!

Tell you what Wolf I can't believe that mate. I've heard before for some reason things are not as readily available across the water. Very odd. May be I could start a business ordering bits over here and exporting em to the emerald isle.

Wolf, your'e probably better off where you are!!!!
E 36 for a thermostat????? Cold must have gone to their heads. Think it was either E 8.00 of E 10.00 I paid for mine not too long ago from a motor factor although mine was for a 00 TII. Think they told me it was same one for a Serena or Almera but I couldn't vouch for that. Gasket I got with it was no good so you will probably end up using liquid gasket anyway. You could try a Ford dealer as there has been some reports of the same parts being cheaper from the Ford dealer than Nissan dealer.

Thanks Daniel check em out monday!!

I'm sweating like a pig! After last nights -17C its a tropical -3C at the moment.

If you want to check your locality go to this link and select your region and nearest town in the dropdown lists under the map, or stick your postcode in....then when its showing your local forecast, just above, under the map, you'll see a link to "Nearest Observation Site"...click on that and it will give you temp, rainfall etc for that location for the last seven hours......

Looks like I might have to go to work tomorrow :(

Duh, what was I on????????????

The link :doh Insert your own postcode/area and off you go....

Not that things aren't readily available,if the twats can't reach it without leaving their seats,it's "out of stock". A lot of them just won't even try. Wolf,Bradshaws in Portlaoise would post one ,I'm sure. Try a decent Motor Factors, should be no problem getting an 82degree.

Would think Liam has a point. If the same stat as fits in mine (the square headlight 00 T2) fits yours and you have no luck let us know and I'm sure I could get another one for you and send it on.

Thanks lads ill let ya know, if i have no luck ill take ya up on that daniel

No problem. Next time your plan to head to Limerick on a weekday let me know and I might be able to catch up with you for a "business meeting" over coffee during the work day.

How far from Limerick are you Dan? I used to be in Kilmallock a lot about 30 years ago and later over at the Dell plant when I worked for them in the UK.

I'm 60 miles from Limerick to the south east but I work in Limerick City so up there most days of the week. No too far from the Dell plant in Limerick but over on the Tipperary Road side. Wouldn't be too familiar with Kilmallock side though.
