Trol runs a treat on bio , so at 80p a litre I equate that to aboutn40 mpg :D
I'm happy with that :naughty

Blimey my Daf 2800 hauling gross 32 tones at 60 MPH would return 6 mpg but if I took it steady could get 8 out of it, Rick

The 33 ton MAN water tanker that I sometimes drive at work, will return anything from 6 MPG to 13 MPG....glad I don't have to pay for the fuel... Mrs loves the Nectar points though :thumb2

They aren't keen on veg Alex so you'll have to brave & visit a thing called a petrol station:lol:lol:lol

The trol I want is the old skool 4.2, was told it will run on pretty much anything :lol

I might look into bio perhaps :nenau early days yet.

60 mpg ??

I wonder if his speedometer is like my old r3mR import ? The speedometer cluster was fitted with an m.p.h. display face but the oddometer was in Km.

That would make his claimed 60 m.p.g more like 38 m.p.g. if he was unaware ? This does not fit with his claimed £70 cost of fuel for 600 miles thoughthough.
That works out in fact at 48.3 m.p.g. if he is paying £1.239 for his diesel so his maths is a bit dodgy.

Not quite right either Macabethiel :augie
£70 divide by £1.239 = 56.5 litres used, which iss 12.43 gallons.
So his claimed 600 miles divided by 12.43 galls = 48.27 M.P.G.
I'd say that's possible if you drive like Miss Daisy but you'd get nicked doing 55mph on the m/way :doh
It would be more plausible if he'd enlighten us about the remap etc

OK so you say 48.27 mpg and mine was to nearest tenth of a decimal point at 48.30 !!

OOPS sorry mate, I miss read your post :doh I picked up on the 38mpg I think
I'll get myself another coffee on the way to the naughty step :)

Totally forgiven just have the coffee, unlike fuel retailers who can price items in a currency denomination that does not exist.
I have not seen a coin worth 0.9 pence yet they are allowed to price stuff at 1.239 per litre !

So how much can I expect from my t2 realistically. I have just filled it up to the brim and reset odometer, I have been towing with it so good mix of driving
:nenau do you think 80mpg is achievable.
Think I will be really shocked  if its as much as 30mpg.
