Hi Guys,

When using my Terrano in 4WD high or low, I'm experiencing a squeaking/rattling. Have any of you wise, experienced 'Terrano-heads' ever suffered with this? I've spoken to a mechanic mate, and he seems to think that it's the transfer shaft? Please help as this is really concerning me.

I hope you are not doing this on normal roads   are you ?

Only on normal roads in the last heavy snow. Only engaging 4WD in off road conditions.

if you think it is the front prop shaft, it has greasers on it (3) so give it a good grease first, have you checked the front diff oil level, stick your finger right in it and look at the oil if it is milky it has water in it change it pronto, Rick

Cheers for the info, pi**ing down with rain at the mo, will investigate later!!

Before you do, did we not establish somewhere that the facelift trucks don't have these grease nipples?:nenau
