Guys. A sad sad day today.... :( on my way to my brothers workshop for a day of tinkering (adjust front wheel bearings and torsion bar re-index) and noticed the whistle had stopped when giving it the beans quickly followed by realizing there were no beans!:(
Got on with it and had both sorted and tracking adjusted at the tyre shop up the road.
On the way back stopped at a garage and had the codes read and there were none?
It drives ok just lacking power, no lights on the dash either.
I'm now working through till Wednesday so have a few days to get a plan of action! :nenau
Hang on a minute, Banshee drove it the other day? :duno:

If anyone has any, I'm needing a hub cap as it looks like some idiot chiselled one off puncturing it?

Before re-indexing...

After re-indexing. One was adjusted all the way and the other only half way so took both adjusters off, cleaned them out as the splines were red rusty, lubed and re-fitted.

That is only a dust cap for your drive shaft, there is not much grease in there as it is a fixed hub so just seal the hole with silicon mastic and put it back it is not seen when the wheel an cap are on, re the turbo it might not be the turbo itself as it is controlled I think by the ECU, RayF is your man on this, Rick

Oh No!!!!! Hope you get it sorted Ian, looks good since the re-index :thumb2

Cheers Zac.
I'm sure it'll be ok. Have been googling and found a couple of posts pointing the finger at the air flow meter, saying that it doesn't always bring any fault codes or eml up. Yesterday I had the air filter out for a check so obviously disturbed the airflow meter. mmmm?.

Yeh mate I hope it's not owt serious, don't prod n poke at maf tho, you can get a special cleaning spray for them :thumb2

NOT FOR THE BOSCH, IT WILL KILL IT FOR SURE, they are self cleaning and not to be touched under any circumstances, Rick

Check for obstructions to the Maff and poss bad plug connections but they are not cleanable, Rick

Off the top of my head:...
carefully check the 6mm vacuum hoses from the turbo back to the 3 port control solenoid and beyond.
If any of these have even a tiny leak the turbo control vanes will not move; resulting in no boost!

Thanks gents.
It's a beautiful day by the looks so will have check of all the pipes and plugs. :thumb2

Well, joint first prize to Rick and Ray. Thanks very much Ray for getting me to check the vac pipes. And Rick new Ray was the man :thumb2
Photos to follow.

Anyone found a particular supplier of vac pipe that has been good?

Had a look at the pipes from under the air filter of which there are 3. Followed them to their other ends and found 1 which is perished.

Needs replacing asap... I gave it a little tug and pulled off the pipe leaving 1/2 inch behind!
Pushed it back on just to see if it cured the problem. Went out for a test drive and the whistle is back along with the beans!

Ended up removing the intercooler to get to it easier.
