Hallelujah: passed the dreaded MOT.....just.
This was my first MOT with a Terrano so a bit apprehensive due to lack of experience, my cars don't fail or even have advisories normally (brag, brag, self-satisfied smirk etc. LOL) as in: 2 advisories & 1 lambda sensor fail in approx. 50 MOT's on various cars over the last 40 years!
Advisory: 'front brake imbalance 24%' almost a fail which is 25%! A first for me (oh the shame LOL).
There is no evidence of pulling to one side or stuck-on brakes as it pulls up straight & is fairly easy to push (considering the weight LOL), brake fluid is new also there are no brake noises to give me a clue. Pads are 1/2 worn & discs in good order (car has only done 32K). Apart from bleeding the brakes again, & perhaps a sticky calliper/piston I'm at a loss as I can't see anything iffy. The only thing worth mentioning is the brake pedal is very 'progressive' ie: not 'fierce' as some cars are, but I wouldn't describe it as soft or spongy & It handles my 1.6T caravan with no probs. It has been the same for the past year that I have owned it, but I don't know what Terranos are usually like so have no comparison to help me.
Trouble is, with no symptoms I wont know if I've cured it (or not, groan) until the next MOT!
Anyone in Terranoland got any thoughts or pointers?
