Since we are all in Boris' lock-up (or lock-down as he so jokingly calls it) I finally got bored enough to have a go, after over 5 years, at fixing my mostly blanked-out odometer.
First mistake: downloaded the instructions from here only to find mine is totally different: all clips & guesswork (LOL).
Second mistake: unit is on the bench now so I had a go anyway (but not so much LOL).
Third mistake: there’s a myriad of clips & I'm relying on intuition (might as well have my eyes shut!).
Forth mistake: not having 3 hands I manage to totally damage the display unit
(air is blue & it's ALL Boris' fault!)...... groan!
So now nothing works as it should, needles have a mind of their own & I'm definitely not a happy chappy. Why-o-why didn't I go down the ducks & throw bread at them instead?
Hence the plea of HELP!!!!!! Can some-one please point me in the direction of working instrument panel that doesn't cost a King's ransom? Luckily (really?) I have 9 months till the next MOT.
Thanks in advance for any help.
