3.0 condenser required.

Can any body tell me please where I can get a condenser for my aircon as it has developed a hole and a new one is required. Every where only seem to list for a 2.7, nothing for a 3.0. If not may have to get it repaired. Don't want to buy second hand as may find same problem.

Can any body tell me why the condenser needs to be bigger on the 3.0 than the 2.7? Had a measure up of my friends 2.7 and his is exactly the same in width , depth, but 35mm shorter from top to bottom, pipes in same place and size. I reckon I could make a 2.7 one fit but worried why the difference. As you can get one non genuine for £74.00 with a 3.0 only main dealer at £657.00! Worth a go but would like to know just in case a specific reason.

I got one from a 2.4 petrol, do not know if it is anything like yours, I have not tested it, the pipes had gone so took it all off, yours for £20 if it will fit but I will take a couple of pics and test it as well before I commit, Rick

Thanks Rick, mine measures 685mm wide, 405mm top to bottom, 19mm thick approx. The pipe work on the 2.7 seems to look the same size and comes out of the condenser in the same places as the 3.0, just the top to bottom measurement seem different. Have a measure up please and let me know thanks.
