I need some volunteers then.

Are there any peeps out there that could organize a northern meet up and obviously a midland meet up.

They can be where ever you want but has to be at an already established and organised event that will attract other people to like overland adventure.

The events will stop us all from kicking around camp for a day or two and if you have a family to bring you could enjoy your time by doing things at the events.

I would be honoured to heads up a southern meet up for the soft southerners in sunny Enfield at the Pageant next year.

Obviously there will be a cost but not sure, but on the plus side i can lay on a hog roast for all attending.

Hows this sounding guys and girlies?

Why obviously? What are the charges for? Not sure that fits into the spirit of the club.

The charges will be for us lot to be there and camp.
I downloaded last years club application form (http://www.whitewebbsmuseum.co.uk/PDFs/Pageant Club Stand Booking Form 2015.pdf) as a template and there was a fee that was being charged for clubs to camp there.
where else can you go and camp for three nights for nothing on a organised event?

It sounds relay great, we need some more general get to gathers,my mouth is watering at the sound of a hog roast Just hope I can sell my house over here soon, so I can get back to the UK. then I will be at as many meets as I can get to :clap

That'll be my fault for being an ex-English teacher, that bit wasn't so clear and I'm a bit of a grammar pedant. :thumbs

no probs, im no teacher but i do have a good heart and would like to help to get this forum/club more members.
I will do what i can but will require help from members as well.
Things like new banners, leaflets and stickers may have to be purchased, so without money how do we go about getting them?
How far would you all like to take this?

Caravans are allowed but I think looking at the booking form that the charge is greater than a tent.

You're spot on. This year's prices. Tents and caravans under 21ft £20. Over 21ft £40. This is for the duration of the event.

The only place over this neck of the woods that i know is a place called GT Towing.
Not sure if they hire out or maybe know some one that does.

I Googled "motorhome hire near Enfield" and there are a couple nearby Rick. Not sure about caravan hire though.

No one has stepped forward to put their name forward to organise the middle earth meet or northern meet so I will just sort out the southern one.
I need to know approx numbers of people attending.
