As mentioned on the other post it has a diesel leak and a brake issue am going to have a look at the brakes and fuel leak tonight and get the relevant parts ordered

Also need to get a couple of tyres for it if anyone has any suggestions of what tyres are good to go for

I've gone for BF Goodrich all terrains and I love them, there is a newer better version of them out now too. They are the tyre of chioce for the baja racers but also work really well in dampest yorkshire :lol
It was a toss up between them, yokahoma geolanders or a general tires one, grabber I think.

Tyrewise, I'm going to get some Coopers. I think that you'll find that there are going to be 3 or 4 recommendations which are pretty much the same.
Nice looking truck, great colour.

Ok will have a look around at them and just had a look at the leaks

Diesel leak is quite visibly theses pipes here am I right in thinking replacing these is the same as replacing brake pipes

As for brake leak only damp spot I can find without jacking it up seems to be around the brake servo weather someone has over filled it or it has a leak anyone none of the servos leaking ?

I think it's the best looking truck to have :naughty

Looking at the photos you've got a lot of cleaning underneath to do.
Others have replaced the fuel lines with rubber pipe. Seems to be the best option. Plenty of threads on this.
Brake lines obviously replaced like for like.
Enjoy.

Do like the look of it going the add some bullbars and soot lights to the front

Read a few threads on here about people replacing with rubber pipe my only worry is it rotting out quickly although if others have done it must be ok

And yes going to give it a good jet washing underneath and then a good coat of underseal

I did my fuel lines with copper pipe obvious advantage I had was my truck is a swb so requires less pipe :augie

Yeh loads of people have done it, there is a purpose made rubber fuel line to use.
Have you seen the download in downloads section?

No not yet I work long hours so don't get a lot of time to go on computer will have a look when I next get chance

be very careful of rubber fuel lines, make sure you get it from a local supplier not off the net, lots that are marked fuel pipe are cheap copies and may only last a year or two, I have seen it on motors only a couple of years after fitting and the bad rubber ones have gone rock hard, for that reason I use plastic, no problem at all, you can also use copper but it can be a bit of a pig to thread it from front to rear and it needs lots of clips/ties to stop it chafing, Rick

Plastic?

That's a good point I have loads of plastic fuel pipe in the garage probably the wrong size though

Don't forget to tape the end of the pipe before threading through otherwise you'll get a pipe full of muck to get dragged into your filter:thumbs

Yes did read that on a different post what's the best way to prime the diesel through the new pipe after fitting ?

Bigbunny replaced my feed pipe, he simply used the rubber primer button fuel filter housing. Then started up and left on tick over for ten minutes.

I'll have to get some, I've got some rubber stuff I've not seen the plastic stuff i don't think, where did you get from?

Think I got mine from a car show years ago bought it for my classic mini so probably will be a bit small for the terrano getting some rubber hose from my local motor factors for £2 a metre which seems reasonable to me

Is it 8mm and 10mm hose I need for fuel lines ? I can't get the cover off in the boot to have a look as the screws won't budge

Replaced fuel lines over weekend and replaced brake pipe now have working brakes and no diesel leak it was 6mm and 8mm pipes for the fuel lines on mine

Also found out the cause of the vibration on the front I have a cv joint with a split gaitor and looks like it's had no grease for a while so new one picked up today just need to get it fitted now

Started washing all the mud off as well
