2.7tdi terrano cutting out

Has anyone had a 2.7tdi intermitant cut out sometimes when driving sometimes on return to a car park , seems to loose power to fuel cut off solenoid . any info welcome

does the engine malfunction light come on when this happens?
if it does then in the downloads section on this site there is a download on how to read the fault codes without any special equipment.when mine started doing this it turned out to be my injector pump(expensive )but it could just be something simple like a filter change is all it needs.

filters all been done , seems electric as is an instant cut out, new glow plugs cured slugish starting.

check the electrics near and around the battery,

you will find with older trucks where the battery has been in and out the wires become week or damaged anything suspect or loose fix or replace

a broken damaged wire can cause instant cut out

Air in the fuel caused mine to cut out
But it started up again fine after a few seconds
You never knew when it was going to do it
Just a thought :smile:

me thinks the broken wire seems the one, shall have to rig up a test light and pull looms
