Its a 10mm bolt that holds it to the block and two pipes, one top and bottom and that it to remove the breather.
The big pipe from the air filter that go's to the turbo:thumbs you'll notice a smaller pipe connected to it which is a breather pipe coming from the oil catch tank on the N/S/F of the engine

That's to remove the catch tank:thumbs but Banshee is just is just wanting to see if oil is getting sucked into the induction pipe at the min:augie
according to my memory Pete yours was a lot worse, but I think the insurance assessors will have the say at the end of the day, we can chat all we like but they have the control, Rick
The good news is I've just checked the oil and its still at the same level as when I topped it up back in the Isle of Wight some hundred or so miles ago.
The bad news is I've removed the oil breather pipe both ends and only a smear of oil is present on the lining of the pipe :/ I think I'm going to have to keep an eye on this before I confirm it's terminal and not a one off occurance
Only thing is what could account for such oil usage apart from the obvious leakage into the pistons?
Possible but no obvious sign, I'll keep an eye on the floor and the sumpa leak from sump ?

Oil Filter and Oil Pump are fine checked them yesterdayleak from oil filter ...... oil pump ..........
Oil Filter and Oil Pump are fine checked them yesterday
I'm at the petrol station now, as of yesterday the oil was sitting at the full mark, since then I've done 77 miles and the dipstick is now showing 3/4
I know it is hard to see most times that the smoke trail you leave but I bet if you get a mate to follow you he will tell you what you do not want to know, Rick
Great!!!! also been given the news today that my insurance company will be writing off my car as a total loss
I'll be purchasing it back as there's so much new stuff on it that I physically couldn't see it scrapped.
what's an engine swap like on one of these Rick?

Honestly mate the chassis on it is immaculate and rock solid, I've never seen another one it's age anywhere near how tidy this one isIf your going to get another R20 then strip this one down for parts keep all the good bits & so you have some spares & poss take out the engine & rebuild it with new bearings etc then you'll basically have a nice recon engine to drop into your new motor:thumbs
Not too bad Rick, what about with help?on my own 8 hours, Rick
