mine has the lift censer in it.
Never had missfire holding revs.
Now revs drop holding throttle steady.

if you disconnect the CPS, rear of inlet manifold, it should not start, reconnect and it will but if it is dirty it screws up the signal to the ECU, and as you have put fuel direct to the IP I can see nothing else, Rick

Everyone seemed to miss the most simple point at the start of the post mentioning dirty or old fuel?

I have leaky leak off pipes so looks like a leak. Id start with decent fuel or you could be forever replacing parts with no cure :lol

nope, he just said "lack of use or old fuel".

with that in mind, chuck in some system cleaner see if that helps.

Yea some other poor chap is stuck at Centre parc's!

Anyway, drove mine lastnight both on & off road :D Seems to pull well on the road, and you dont really notice the missfire once your upto speed.

Will check the plugs this weekend tho and see what they are saying!

Cheeers fella's

I'd say that's a fueling issue then mate

Get yourself some of this from me and if I'm right you should see bubbles galore in your fuel lines

http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21195

Where would the airbubbles be coming from tho? As far as iam aware i have no leaks in the lines

It could be the lines, it could be the pump seal, it could be an ill fitting filter, it could be a leak on the primer there are so many places mate

Fitting the clear pipe would be the definitive test as to whether your issue is with plugs or fuel starvation, if there are air bubbles it's fuel, if there's not its plugs, simples

Spent a few hours on it taking off air cooler unpluged all connections cleaned and followed leak off pipes,no leaks, any way put it all back together and same.
So have to open my little wallet and its booked in to nissans at louth for friday chen i leave here.
I will have to rac it to them.
Its on the way to my next site.

What is the cps and what does it look like please, also pm me for the no1 injector posted please.
I will disconnect the wire and see what happens.
Thanks.

CPS = CrankShaft Position sensor. It tells the ECU what potion the crankshaft is in:doh anyhoo, its either at the front of the engine in between the alternator belt - one bolt holding it on. Its a little cylinder type magnet, and on older or high mileage vehicles will almost certainly fail causing the ECU to work on a set of crappy defaults. You will experience stalling, poor running, or even none starting when it starts to go. Its not an on/off sensor, it will deteriorate the hotter it gets, and this affects the signal sent to the ecu, so your timing ends up out etc.

Thanks all.
I went to sort it today and this is the finding.
I found the cps at rear unpluged it and it would not start.
Plugged it back in and started but ran like shit.
Very poor throttle response.
While it was running I pulled the plug to no1 lead,it cut out.
I restarted it and it ran with elm on,then it went off.
Still very poor tickover and throttle response.
It had a job to get to2500r.
I have not got the tools to remove the cps as I think it could be that.
I have called rac to explane and they are comming out.
Will get them to pull cps out and clean, also maf as I have vodka here to use.
Does anyone think the same or other ideas please.

unplug the MAF and see how it goes.

Unplugging the maf stopped it.
Rac came out and he was a get stuck in chap and took out the cps and it was really dirty.
A good clean up and refit and away it went, well nearly,it was still hunting but after a fair thrash it cleared and now just the leak to sort out.
Thanks all,I will cancel the main dealer's anjnd take a chance on to my next site.

Glad you got it sorted mate, modern electrics can be a right pain sometimes :thumb2
