Just to let anyone know, I popped in to see a guy in the New Forest, to pick up a replacement rear bumper for my T2. He has a nearly complete green over silver SE Touring model that he is breaking up, so if anyone is local, and needs any bits, give me a shout, and I will pass you his info.

Basically, he had had it 3 or 4 months, and then needed to spend money on it for the MOT, exhaust, tyres, front drop links, but his biggest worry was the expensive sounding granching coming from the front when turning hard!!!. He said he had never fallen for the car, and since he could see it costing him a lot of money, he decided to scrap it and make his money back on parts.

Basically, the only thing is, unless it is a small component, you have to go and get the bits yourself.

Anyway, just letting you know.

:doh - For the cost of a few fingers worth of grease!

Has to be said, that expression could indeed cost quite a bit in some places! :naughty

what a waste of a perfectly serviceable truck

That was what I thought, but then I though, £50 for a whole new rear bumper...:bow

I wonder how many of these bite the dust because of such silly things.

It is a shame, its breaking.I am spending money on mine this week.Tie rod ends,Steering relay center rod.Not cheap, but doing the work myself.Hate to think what a garage would charge.(Shudder)

What are the front wings like?

N/S good, had a small dink a couple of months ago, so was sorted by insurance repairer, along with replaced front bumper, O/S has a bit of rust near fender flair

what a complete eejit:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

Not really, we turned 3 down when we were looking at buying them because of the graunch... It was only because after seeing it on so many, and I really wanted a T2, that I bothered to look into it on the web, and came across this forum where I discovered how easy it was to fix. If you do a search on Google, there is not a lot of info on it, other than this forum, and it is a hard thing to search on, as it is such a hard thing to describe for a search engine.

Shame Nissan made it so weirdly, that it makes such a noise, I have never had it on any other cars.
