1998 Maverick 2.7tdi fault 42 fuel temp sensor??

I also have a mondeo 2.0tddi i think im comparing it too that whitch is my problem i will drag my trailer out at the weekend and go try some hills and see if the bits i have done have made a difference.

Ok fault 42 fuel temp sensor has come back after anything i have done to it i can see some kind of sensor in the fuel pump with a wire going to it but no room in there to remove it without removing pump i think and also i dont know where to get one from and ideas anyone?
