Nice looking Truck and wheels.
Unless there is something wrong with my applied Phyisics a suspension lift raises the centre of gravity making it more likely to tip over so widening the track just puts you closer to where you started except for some extra ground clearance ?

Yes

But also gives better traction from better articulation.better attack and departure angles.
More sill clearance on rock climbing/descending.
And keeping my comfort

Basically yes but with -38 offsets that puts the track nearly 80mm wider than stock. Add on a bit for the wider tyre so in the region of 120mm o/a wider than stock. CofG has gone up yes but it's not very high in the first place. I don't know exactly the ht of CofG but suggest the net effect will be a little more stable than stock :)

3" suspension lift your cv shop must love you! not so sure on Nissan but know from owning Troopers with torsion bars that 3" lift ment very short cv joint life.

Does look good though and agree that widening track has helped massively and extra clearance is always a godsend, so will be a much more capable truck, also as winter approaches and the lanes get wetter with tyres that size you have the option to float accros the puddles...

Kind regards

Russell.

Looking awesome Steve :thumbs

Makes me want some steelies more than ever :naughty

Torsion bars are only wound up 2".any more than that puts them into self destruct mode.
Have run a 4 of these trucks with 2" lift and never broke a cv yet( touch wood)
:thumb2

Now... Don't take this as a serious suggestion...:lol:lol

Don't put the dampener on this one,
if you wanted to lower your centre of gravity some more...
You could fill the tyres with water....:augie

There would be no give though...:doh

It would be a pig in the winter if you didn't put antifreeze in as you would have a flat on the tyre at the bottom when the water froze...

:lol:lol:lol

Some farmers actually put water in their tractor tyres as a way of getting more weight on the wheels. They put in a mixture of water and antifreeze and then top up with air.

I have some good ideas, but trying to explain that to Mr Kwikfit, first he needs a fork lift to remove the wheel, and then it leaves a trail of water to the tyre remover...

Make a good youtube clip though... :lol:lol

I would love to see this happen :naughty

I have seen the state of a fitter after he removed a tyre from a rim without being told it was water filled :lol

Used to do this on some of the tractors we used to run if we didn't have enough weights for the weight frame on the front.
Was only a short term thing though.wouldn't recommend running tyres with water everyday.

On a road going motor balancing must be all over the shop!
