lfteixeira Ford Maverick 2.7 - LWB

It is easy to forget how lucky we are to have access to such good quality and sensible priced food !!!!!!! We eat out much more in Portugal than we ever did in UK!!!!! Mainly because it is such an enjoyable experience and such good value!!!!! ------ and I am quite fond of red wine!!!! Nigel

    Tyre questions

Ola I thought that we were controlled by law on what mods we can do????? Or is it ok as long as it is inspected and documented??? I don't speak enough Portuguese to fully understand these things!!!!! But we do intend to stick to the 205x16s fitteed to our Terrano...

    Death of forums

Hi I hope it is acceptable for you to tell me the name of the forum you created??? If it is related to 4x4s that is!!!! I have joined a Nissan forum in Portugal but it is really slow unlike this one!!!!!!! Although we don't intend to destroy our Terrano 1 off road it would be enjoyable for us...

    Almost a owner - 1994 Terrano 2 2.4SFI

Now that you have got your Terrano well sorted it seems a shame to sell it!!! If you are going to continue running off road a LWB will probably not perform as well and I think have a greater risk of vehicle damage!! I bought a Seat Alhambra for its seven seats---- I didn't realise the later...

    Death of forums

That's exactly the attitude I meant!!!!!! It also doesn't appear to matter what 4x4 you drive------- or even IF you drive one! I was a member of a motorhome forum for a ( very) short time and at meets the rows of motorhomes would be in value order------ yes that's correct, the most expensive...

    Death of forums

I am new here, from where I stand everyone seems to just have a very pleasant attitude, there appears to be no nasty or unpleasant sarcastic comments!!!!! The first forum I got involved with I posted a question (that I obviously didn't know the answer to) and one old member gave me a most...

    Brian Stewart

I am itching to see pics!!!!! Regarding Speedo (although not other related issues) a simple GPS Speedo is a cheap fix--------- I use one in our motorhome as it is difficult to see dashboard one in certain light!!! Have you tried Rockauto for the sensor???? They seem to specialise in older stuff...

100th Anniversary of the End of WW1

Ok -- you may well be correct!!!----- but I believe the important bit is when they stopped killing each other!!!!!! Sorry --- still nothing to do with 4x4s !!!!!!!

    Tyres and Rear Door Handle

Have they started selling the pathfinder in UK???? I was a bit surprised the dealer had one let alone another!!? It is sad that components should be so frail!!!!------ our old terrano1/pathfinder seems to be built like a brick shithouse!!!!!!! Nigel Edit----- I just did a search for pathfinder...

Broken Door Handle is an MOT failure

I see in your avatar you have a Pathfinder------ it might not be so easy to get one in UK?? Maybe Rockauto can send one??? If it's the pathfinder that needs fixing?????? Nigel

Battery Question - Green "Eye" window

I have found that green eye thing is totally useless!!!!!! I agree with everyone else----- if alternator charge is good, both your chargers are telling you something, voltage of battery is too low for a reliable starter!!!!------- as it gets colder it will let you down!! Nigel

    Hi from Devon

Hi -- wekcome-- we are also new here!! We have a Terrano 1 same age as your pick-up, same engine, there are a lot of these in Portugal , they are not allowed to die as so good as a work horse------ I think every one we have seen has had a replacement buck fitted, virtually every old pick - up...

    Almost a owner - 1994 Terrano 2 2.4SFI

Hi --ola If your terrano has spent most of its life in inland Portugal you should find that you will not have problems with rust----- our friends in UK will be a little envious!!!!!!!! I don't know if you have seen on here but we recently bought a Terrano 1_-----------we live near Oliveira do...

    close call

    Just paid our first subscription!!!!

We brought a mint Dodge Ram from USA and during the first weeks in UK I could see the affects from the salt on the roads, that spring I pressure washed it on a friends pit and used his compressor to put 3gallons of waxoyl under it -- when we sold it a few years later it was still like new...
