I've just managed 300 miles out of my tank (fuel light on now) 2.7 Bosch 50/50 diesel/veg with a faulty needle lift sensor under powered due to that and a rushed 45 mile journey doing 85-90 at times. So not too bad I don't suppose.
See what the next tank brings, I've fitted the sensor over...
It's the length that is my only concern, not a big one as I have done nothing about it.
As I couldn't get enough movement on the splines to compensate for the lift so the rubber is stretched running out by about 5 mm? Which could cause premature failure (I'll address it one day)

I had this happen on a corner to the offside rear, tapped the brakes and just locked up, I was able to reverse and carry on but I could feel it dragging but only a few miles from home, mine turned out to be a delaminated brake shoe.

And as pointed out to me and I haven't rectified this yet but although the steering column was released to allow for movement, the donut on the column by the bulkhead is under strain so could do with a few spacers to get it straight again.

I got away with out any trimming for the gearstick and 4wd selector on my mk3 and as for the bumpers I cut the brackets vertically and welded the front 2 inches lower to lift the bumper, this actually put it a bit close to the grille and wings so the rear after cutting them I rewelded them 1 3/4...

It's a family based event with plenty of children about but as with all big events there will be a number of drunk people but security are always present keeping things calm
Also speaking to the organiser if 10 are interested he will find us our own plot even tho there fully booked. As he's after as diverse selection of japs as possible.
Hi guys I'm just posting this to see if anyone is interested, for the last 8 or 9 years I've been going to this it started at billing and has out grown it and moved to wick steed park Kettering, there used to be a group of delicas there but no longer and there is no 4x4 presence there at all...
Big hammer see if it loosens anything, or carefully put truck in foreword and reverse see if that frees it off. Gently on the brakes with the front wheels chocked obviously
The wing on my Terrano had rotted all around the arch moulding and separated, I duct taped the full length of the wing to the moulding and glued the indicator to the wing at the front as it had nothing to clip to (mk3) and it passed with no advisories on the wing at least
If the speaker wire is shorting on the door somewhere on the left front it will cut all speakers out. Check the wire and make sure the connector isn't near the door panel

cleanish bill of health, advisories on all tyres cut, top arm bushes, rear shock bushes, general steering freeplay, and n/s sill not too bad at all
now to decide if i should put my chrome steps back on
well shes gone in for the test, N/S wing thoroughly duct taped to cover the rust hole (the length of the arch moulding) :augie unsure of the tires as they have taken a lot of abuse over the years and the n/s sill hasn't gone through yet but it depends on how enthusiastic they are with the knocker.
That's just being pedantic. I like the idea of a seam welded 2cv. Unfortunately the sill won't be painted but the sill seam and welds have been brush sealed and the sill up to the lip of the doors stone chipped so there will be nothing to see, and it'll hopefully last well

Shouldn't fail on that really? When we fit new sills and 1/4's if the old panel is spot welded in certain areas it is the new one gets the same, also has some panel bond in the Seam too

I can't take all the credit, I cut and shaped the sill and left it to the panel beater at work to braze / spot it on and smooth it after where needed.
