Anyone changed a dual mass flywheel for a solid one on a Pathfinder or Navara

Thanks for the input. The proprietor of the garage I took it to used to be with a Nissan dealership. There is a notice relating to the sensors in the transfer box due to moisture in the oil. The fault is intermittent the warning lights clear for a while then come back on possibly after a right...

Anyone changed a dual mass flywheel for a solid one on a Pathfinder or Navara

The clutch on my 14 year old Nisson Pathfinder (89K miles) began to slip a week or so ago. The clutch was replaced about 6 years and 35000 miles ago, the need for replacement was sooner than I had hoped but that is life at least it didn't go whilst I was towing the boat. The MOT was due 10th of...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

So, as the original poster, a footnote to this thread. I finaly decided that these keys were not going to turn up and called Keymoon today and arranged to go over tomorrow with the Pathfinder to have a key programmed their charges being by far the most reasonable at £35 or so including the...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Key 5WK4876/818 Chip PCF7946AT So, despite what it is said on the Web, you are saying it is not possible to reprogram the transpomder without equipment. I just checked my emails and I had already been in contact with Key Moon who said the same. I certainly could not get my vehicle into the...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

I have the blank key with circuit board. I am not at home to check numbers. I assume I bought the correct one according to the numbers on the key. On line it said they could be programmed in car but I could not get my 2007 pathfinder into what appeared to be the correct mode. This is a link to...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Thank you for the information. You are not too late to the party. I have not done anything other than get the transponder and try programming it without success. I am still hoping the missing one will turn up! but am running out of hope.

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Thanks I will give that a go as well. I am beginning to think I may have to pay for a pre-programmed key. I did have a brief play again today but with the instructions and not successfully.

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Can you post a link to those instructions please. It is not what other instructions say or the video I have watched. Thank you for the reply.

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Hi, Yes I noticed that 10 times I think. I did purchase a key with transponder I ahve not actually opened the fob as so far that is not the problem. I was going to try today but went for a cycle instead as it was so nice. Thanks for the reply David

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

Hello, thank you for the reply, sorry for the delay in replying. I don't think so, it is too late and cold for me to go and check that today. I think there is some form of life indicating that either the insertion or removal of the key has been sensed. Either interior lights coming on or off or...

    Re-prgramming Key Fob

So, I have just renewed my subscription to this group but it does seem as though this section at least is very slow moving without many contributors. I have lost/misplaced the 2nd set of keys for my Nissan Pathfinder, It has a simple 2 button Lock/Unlock remote fob and an ignition key...

    Turbo blown?

AA came as promised to diagnose. Computer said good rail pressure and good engine RPM although it would not start. They blanked of the EGR valve with a plate and it started and appears to be OK. Smoking a bit which might be unburnt fuel and absence of EGR. Not taken it for a run yet. But it...

    Turbo blown?

I tried to post a link to some images on Dropbox but was unsuccessful Apparently there might be a fuse for the fuel pump. On a picture of shows one on a fusebox for a 2009. I have located 4 boxes 3 in the engine bay and one in glove compartment. Are there any others? I assume I can't test fuels...

    Turbo blown?

Hi Rick, Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay in getting back. Had to get the boat back up the drive (Tractor) and the Pathfinder onto my drive (Friend with 4x4) I am trying to work out the best way of further investigating this problem. I don't want to spend masses of money only to find...

    Turbo blown?

Yesterday towing my boat home my Pathfinder suddenly lost power with much black smoke. I limped it a couple of miles to a safer location. The engine initially restarted but won't now. I was recovered to near my house but would like to move it a bit to get out of someone's way. What can I...

    Central Locking noise

So, with the advent of lockdown and having been driving around for three months (OK not driving around the last 6 weeks) with the drivers door trim removed, I am returning to this problem. As stated previously, it dow not make the noise when locked with the locking button on the central dash...

    Central Locking noise

So, having driven with the door trim off for a week, I finally got to have a look at the problem again. Indeed the door lock mechanism is the same as the rear with the child lock lever cut off. I tried moving it both ways a few times and left in the appropriate postion. I will see if that has...

    Front Right Loudspeaker

They fitted fine and sound better than the very basic speakers my Nissan Pathfinder Trek came with. I had to cut off 2 small plastic pins on the top of the door speaker mount point. Screw holes lined up exactly. Surprisingly the new speakers did not have any polarity markings. Large spade...

    Front Right Loudspeaker

I decided to replace the speakers as a pair and bought a pair of Pioneer TS-G690 Coaxial speakers from Halfords for 35GBP. I was able to take the old speaker along and it looks like they should fit fine. I will hopefully let you know how I get on.
