well , i got up at 6 am this morning and went and tried the car before i phoned a taxi to work and it worked fine. It was VERY hot yesterday, could this have caused my IAC valve to stick or something ?

Hi, my maverick has started stalling when below 1000 revs, the engine just stops. any ideas ? the accelerator pedalseems failry slack to me ,. but i dont know how tight it shouls be.(can easily pull it with very little pressure)

good point, usually if you build so much as a bird nest over a bridleway or common footpath you have hikers and "walking enthusiasts" all over you tearing down fences and claiming the right to walk through your living room etc... they seem oddly absent when facing a group of people that seem...

Hi, i have a 2L . petrol '02 maverick. The engine light is coming on and giving me code p0401 which as far as i can tell is the egr valve, i took it off and cleaned it (wasnt that dirty) drove a few miles and it came back on with the same code, any ideas or experience with this anyone ?

Well, took off the egr valve gave it a clean although it didnt look too bad tbh,went for a drive for a few miles and the light came back on :( ...

yes its a 2.0L petrol. got me some carb cleaner, preparing to do it in the morning.. prepare to see on the news "and in other news today.. a brummie was seen running around on fire screaming i dunno what im doing..." lol wish me luck :)
