maverick started to stall

Hi, my maverick has started stalling when below 1000 revs, the engine just stops. any ideas ?

the accelerator pedalseems failry slack to me ,. but i dont know how tight it shouls be.(can easily pull it with very little pressure)

could be the pedal, shouldnt be that slack, but what do you mean by slack? lets put it this way, mines as you would expect, medium stiffness, easy to press down, and smooth rise back to the top. The sensor is at the top of the pedal, so if that is moving about, it may be affecting the signal to the ECU.

I would check for codes though if you can.

look at the mechanics of the pedal itself as well as the sensor side of things you never know

well , i got up at 6 am this morning and went and tried the car before i phoned a taxi to work and it worked fine.

It was VERY hot yesterday, could this have caused my IAC valve to stick or something ?
