yes it can stick open , this happened a couple of weeks ago on mine , would not warm up . Put a new thermostat in and its as warm as toast now

looks like you were right lacroupade , as i been out in the maverick tonight for about an hour with the heater full on , when i got back tried the central locking and all is working ok now:thumbs mark

if the indicators flash when the remote is pressed for lock , doesn't that rule out the remote ? or is there something i am missing ?

central locking has stopped working on my 96 maverick :nenau if you lock it with the key you can then unlock it with the remote but will not lock from the remote, indicators flash both on unlock and lock any ideas chaps mark

snow we have had about 2" this morning and is still snowing

my mate just been intouch , he has now got the maverick going now:clap , the multi plug on the cold start relay was corroded , he thinks he may have knocked it when removing the battery , now cleaned up and starting ok, thanks for the help chaps:thumbs mark
