Terrano auto 3 ltr ... what do I look for?

This one does have the pressure gauge light problem. The mechanic tried swapping the switch but that didn't work, so he fitted a little analogue pressure gauge in the cab, which reads 1.5 to 7 depending on what the car is doing, so looks okay to me? Anyone know how to fix it?

Terrano auto 3 ltr ... what do I look for?

Thanks for reminding me Thomas-the-Terrano. I forgot to mention; we did our homework on the trailer weight diff, as we tow a horse trailer [@700kg trailer + 400kg pony]. What I am curious about though is how it behaves when you tow. With a manual you can use the gears to slow. Is auto Terry...

Terrano auto 3 ltr ... what do I look for?

Thanks, been driving a converted BMW 330d auto for 6 months now... and OH YES it did take some getting used to. Oddly; smooth braking to a halt at the lights is the hardest thing to learn when you brake by pushing with the palm of your hand... eventually you learn to push the brake by...

Terrano auto 3 ltr ... what do I look for?

Hello again everyone, Well, after 9 months of owning a much loved 2001 2.7 manual 3dr 122k NoSH we [I] have decided to upgrade to a 3.0 auto [54 plate 89k SVE with FSH]. Auto meaning I can get it converted to hand controls so I can drive it, as well as my wife. Please can you hint at any...

Terrano Front Drivers Door mechanism - broken?

It was surprisingly easy... after I'd managed to Google how to get the door panel off: 2 screws on the panel + 1 in the handle, pop out lock surround & the connectors around the edge and lift it all up out of the windowsill Connecting all the rods back up was a bit fiddly but I'd drawn a...

Terrano Front Drivers Door mechanism - broken?

Hi, All of a sudden today the drivers door won't catch closed. Looks like the little piece of plastic that pops up & retains the catch after the door is closed and the little hook comes down, has disappeared [compared it to the passenger lock]. Tried lots of WD40 etc in case it was just stuck...

Oops ...we drove it through a 2.5 foot ford and stalled ... Advice needed please

It was a wide ford. Slow moving though. Both, I think water blocked the air intake when the front end was awash about half way across, then she stalled. Some got sucked into the filter though, but luckily not enough to get into the cylinders. Very lucky.

Oops ...we drove it through a 2.5 foot ford and stalled ... Advice needed please

Yes, it was the one next to the Lands End Pub crossing the river Loddon. Plenty of news stories & pics on line. We we very very lucky. It was foolhardy. Happy to report that the HMS Terrano was indeed fine even after long trip down the M4 today. What a HERO ... I've been advised we should...

Oops ...we drove it through a 2.5 foot ford and stalled ... Advice needed please

You know what, that truck is the best £1400 I ever spent! We sold an Audi A5 3.0 TDi Quattro and a Meriva and bought this, and abused it, towed with it, got so many things wrong and it still keeps going. Bless it. Respect it !

Oops ...we drove it through a 2.5 foot ford and stalled ... Advice needed please

Yes, just checked. Filter is wet in the bottom, so have removed it and wiped out the housing. Will dry it in the airing cupboard tonight for tmo and buy another tmo. Taking it down the M4 tmo, so I guess we'll find out if there is any permanent damage.

Oops ...we drove it through a 2.5 foot ford and stalled ... Advice needed please

Hi All, To avoid a big traffic jam we took our swb Terrano though a deep ford (2.5 foot deep and 30 foot across) and stalled, twice. Managed to get out in low range. Power dipped a little after that on the way home, that but cleared up. Checked the oil and no obvious signs of water in it...
