2,4 96 Heater Fan part ID please

Along with a few other folks the fan now only works on the highest setting. I've checked the fuses and they are OK. I've also had a look at the workshop 18 sheet showing how to change the resister on a 2.7. The one on mine is behind the glove box. It's a bit like a metal matchbox with holes...

    2.4 Ignition Part No please

Geoff, Yes that's the problem. The current one sometimes sticks on the final turn as opposed to being pushed back to the drive position. I guess the return spring is worn out or gummed up. I let you knwo if the new barrel does the trick. Bern

    2.4 Ignition Part No please

Many thanks folks. I'll pop one on order Monday. I hope you all have agood weekend. I'm getting 5 Bridgestone Duallers fitted which cost me the princley sum of £150 then it's inside and keeping warm! Bern

    2.4 Ignition Part No please

I thought the none starting was caused by the old battery but it that was fine. The problem was the solanoid on the starter motor sticking. This might have been caused partly by the ignition switch wearing out - it tends to stick slightly on the "engage" instead of returning to the "run"...

    electric windows manual basic option

Offer appreciated but I'd rather stay with my old fashioned manual "winders". Incidentally for anyone thinking of this. The weight of the windows eventually drops them down so a small piece of plastic coated garden wire attached to the vertical runner and fixed in place stops this happening...

    electric windows manual basic option

I got fed up of mine so decided to retro fit handles. Drilled out, tapped and araldited a bolt in where the spindles should go. Emptied the motors of all innards including spindles. Drilled holes in door panels (inside!) and facia cards. Now when I want windows down/up I use my socket bar to...

    Any Local Breakers pls

I went to Harry Buckleys and Twigworth this weekend looking for bits n' bobs including some roof rails but no luck. Can anyone suggest alternative breakers who might have some that will fit my 2.4 Aspen please? I'm here in Tewkesbury, Bern

    Local Mobile Tyre fitter please

Thanks for all the replies. The Pajero is a K Reg. Nice little truck but mine wasn't as nippy as the 2.4 Maverick/Terrano although a freind has had his Paj chipped - it goes a tad faster now. :) I'll be getting in touch with Event tyres and see what they say. Event only fit tyres they supply -...

    Local Mobile Tyre fitter please

I want to get a couple of good tyres swapped off my Pajero 2.5TD and onto my Terrano 2 but due to lack of time I'd like someone to come out to me here in Tewkesbury. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Failing that does anyone know of a local tyre place who would do this? Cheers, Bern

Swapping Tyres from Pajero to Maverick

Strewth you're right it is worth the £10 (or 12 Euros) subscription. I'm feeling right at home amongst so may people who are as "careful" with their money as I am. :thumbs After all the advice the rims & tyres from the Pajero are definietly going on the Terrano. I'll have a look at swapping...

Swapping Tyres from Pajero to Maverick

11redrex, Thanks for the heads up on the spigot rings and cost of tyre swap. I was going to have a look at swapping over the drivers seat from the Pajero so your comments have confirmed my thoughts on that. I will be taking out the passenger seat anyway as that's where Daisy, my Rotty, sits as...

Swapping Tyres from Pajero to Maverick

Has anyone done this from a Pajero Mk2 2.5 TD to a Maverick 2.4i Aspen? I thought I'd have a crack this afternoon as the tyres are the same size on both. Unfortunately the dimension of the central holes in the rims are different. This makes the rims on the Maverick too small to fit over the...

General info to help me decide

Many thanks for the welcomes. I agree regarding comments on the Pajero 2.5 v Maverick 2.4 as sane people would view them. However (are you sitting comfortably?) the Pajero was bought in a rush as my Jeep had blown it's Head Gasket 2 weeks after spending hard earned dosh on getting it through...

General info to help me decide

I used the check list and decided to go for it. Apart from requiring 2 tyres and a rear offside light that needs wiring properly it looks good to go. When it was first fired up there was a drop of oil that burnt off but that stopped after a few minutes and was, we think, caused by a slight...

General info to help me decide

Clivvy, Many thanks for such a quick, friendly and helpful reply. I'm going to take your list and tick them off then decide what to do. I've had a look on the Milners web site and the common parts are about the same cost as those for the Pajero and the insurance quotes aren't making my wallet...

General info to help me decide

I've been offered a K reg Maverick at a very good price but I don't have a clue about thems other than by looking on Wikipedia. I've currently got a diesel Mitsi Mk2 Pajero 2.5 and a very rare petrol Mitsi J26Jeep so please excuse my ignorance about these Fords/Nissans. I would use it mainly...
