    sad & happy

Hi Richie Thanks for the clarification on the deal! I'm looking to pay that sort of dosh for one in the UK as they're twice that price over here! If you find a low mileage T2 or maybe a Patrol, I'll be searching seriously in the Spring. Re tyres I'm running on Toyo Open Country ATs - just did...

    sad & happy

Hi Richie Search for my post entitled 'Advice needed on 3ltr T2s'. I received some useful response when I asked about 3ltrs as I'm looking for one. Basically there can be a problem with the oil pressure switches sticking, there's two of them. Apart from that it's the well tried Patrol engine...

    T2 in 4H on semi-gritted roads?

Hi Toons I've just done about 150 miles today, mainly in 4WD High, on roads that were either slushy or not gritted at all and covered with packed or soft snow. When I did get to a clear but still wet road I changed to 2WD at slow speed then back to 4WD H on the move when back on slippery stuff...

    4wd

Hi Lacroupade I searched as you suggested and amongst a lot of other guff I found this response from Terranosaurus to your query on a thread by Chaster. "Chaster hasn't got auto hubs, Nissan deleted them later on in production and just fitted drive flanges." Chaster's 2.7 T2 is a 2002 and...

    Breaking Terrano 2 and Mavericks

Hi Fabs Here's a shots of my remaining hub-cap. It's +/- 130 mm in diameter and when stood face up +/- 62mm high, the internal retaining ring (or in my case non-retaining ring) is +/- 105 mm in diameter. If you have four I'll be interested in buying. Regards CL

    Breaking Terrano 2 and Mavericks

Hi Fabs Thanks for the photo. I think we're going down parallel paths, that, like railway lines will never meet! My hub caps are totally different from you photo. I'll post you a shot of mine in a couple of days and if you have any I'll be interested. Happy new year!! Regards CL

    hello, i need some advice

Arthur (From a fellow resident in France) My response to your request for advice would be - get an estimate (devis) before you authorise any more work and come back to this site for an opinion of what has been suggested by your prospective repairer. To coin a previously used phrase the prices...

    Breaking Terrano 2 and Mavericks

Hi Fabs Thanks for the reply. I'm not too concerned about the name as I could always paint it over just as long as they fit and cover my auto hubs and rear brake drum faces. Any chance of a picture? Rgds CL

    Stolen goat! Help!

Hey Plank, good to hear Charlie is back home. Sounds a dodgy story indeed but at least she had reported him as found to the old bill. So she 'apparently' had the right intentions? (Or maybe just covering her rear?) Whatever, he's home for Christmas! Hope he recovers fully. Regards CL

    Advice needed on 3ltr T2s

Iansjones and Lacroupade many thanks for your guidance. I'll be looking for a good '03/'04 3ltr in the new year so I'll heed your advice. Bri I think you were right about the oil leak on the Braithwaites T2, probably one off. (I've emailed you re that one). Regards to all CL

    Advice needed on 3ltr T2s

Hi to all I'm considering upgrading the old girl (my '96 T2) for a late-ish 3 ltr T2. Anyone out there with 3ltr experience can tell me what main faults to look for when buying? Regards CL

Clicking buzzing From Below Battery and wont start

Jim For what it's worth here's my two pennorth. If the engine rotates when you turn the key but doesn't start, could be a pre-heater relay problem. If you hear the 'clicking'/'buzzing' when you turn the key but the starter doesn't engage and the engine doesn't turn over could be a sick starter...
