There is a guy who does a box of tricks to convert the sine wave from the back of the alternator into a pulse so it might have to be one of them.

yes Ray it does has the electronic box but it comes out of the side with the cover over it being Aluminium just like a vp 37.As I remember the vp44 has all the electronics on the top in a black box.It is a zexel copy of one or the other for sure as it is bosch licensed

Thanks smegg yes it is the two solenoid basically these solenoids will send a message through electrical impulses or an open and closed circuit.The ECU will then act according to its program.As my ECU never had a management light problem I think I can use the top off the old pump to fool the ECU...
