far as im aware you can go up to a 2" lift without having to extend pipes & hoses etc on my T2 (pretty sure) im thinking of putting a inch & half kit on mine & before i start are they any hidden secrets these kits dont tell you about , anything to look out for guys....

ive seen lots of posts reguarding diffs & brought to my attension mine, it was on the 4 poster wheels free to turn i turned the drivers rear wheel to the front which turned nice & freely i also noticed the passenger side turning in the same direction to the front also without any effort ...

strange one a 245/70x16 is much smaller diamiter than a 265/70x16 the height is the percentage of the width of the tyre mpg wise its gonna be worse because the overall circumfrence is smaller.. as for the alignment bet its taking the passenger outer edge off & normally drivers inner edge off !
