How hard is this to do, as my dad keeps asking me to look at his heater. Its blowing cold on the passenger side all the time. He took it too an Auto sparky and they quoted him £500 to repair it, but said the part is only £80.

Something to do with the dual climat contorls in the heart of the dash?

Advice please guys, im a Terrano/Maverick man myself.

hi ya kamsin ive had the clocks out on mine few little tricky bits but pretty straight forward ,never gone as far as the heater i guess you will have checked the water amount & for air locks as mine did same blowing cold for ages in bloody feb:doh luckily i removed rad cap ran it till it was warm 2000rpm heater on full bubbles appeared from rad i knew each bubble ment more warmth its been bang on ever since 6000miles ago .. hope yours is as straight forward:thumbs

i've pulled dashboards out of all sorts of cars and £500 is a rip off:mad::nono if you're patiant, i'd have a crack at it youreself i'm not sure how to do the pathys but i'd allow a full day to do the job, thats what i done when i put a complete new dash in my t2 just remember, some parts, clips and things can break easy:doh:doh

I have removed the clocks also, to do this I also removed the lower dash panel...by the drivers legs, this has 2 screws at the bottom,1 by the fuse box opening and another under a plastic cap, seen as you open the door.
Once these have been removed, the panel is held by clips, so pull it towards you and it should pop off.
I don't think these cars have dual temperature zones...neither of my has had it, sounds like a blockage:nenau:nenau

It also may have helped if i had posted this in the "Pathfinder" Section and not on the "Patrol" section.......:doh

God nearly had a stroke at thought of someone stripping my dash board down

Hope ur dad don't mind getting it back stuck together with gaffa tape and tie wraps lol
