Thanks for that - the baove is currently how I have mine set up with 4 washers per side. What I want to know is are the rubber bushes neeed for extra compression or can I replace these with metal spacers ? Richard

Ah unfortunely thought that might be the only way ! Did kind of assume that the fan at the fron could be removed from the shaft though so could just slide over the fan. Richard

Proabaly going to look sound a complete fool here but never mind, How do you change all the fan belts on a T2 2.7tdi engine ? I can see where slaken off the tension, but how do get the old belt off and the new one over the shaft driven fan ? Is there a special technique or something tHANKS...
