One of the original cibbie fog lights was smashed so i replaced them with 9" spotters they were to big so had to make up brackets for them to clear the A bar.

Got it back with a new MOT then gave it a good clean followed by a clay bar then autoglym super resin polish then a coat of autoglym ultra deep shine then two coats of autoglym high definition wax she came up well :thumb2

First thing i did was buy a full exhast system and tires for the mot also got some steel wheels and sprayed them black.Heres a pick of the new boots.

Yep i understand that most 4x4s will drink a bit of juice but dont think that 280 miles from 70 quid is the norm i dont mind spending money on fuel i was just trying to establish wether or not i had a problem with the auld truck,my mate gets more miles from a tank in his paj evo lol.

Well im not getting near 400 miles to a tank and im not convinced that its my driving style as i have been taking it easy latley could the micro filter cause poor mpg as i have not cleaned it yet?What about blocking off egr could that help fuel consumption?

It has a brand spankink new alternator in it thats charging at 14.8 v dont know what the current is but it dosent do it when the lights or demister are turned on just the right hand indicator wonder if the relay or flasher unit could be fubard?

Aw well there goes that theory then it does sound like the pump as when you prime the fuel filter it will be using the fuel in the filter and the line then dying i supose but then again it should still rev shouldnt it?

Guys i was out in the Mistral today and i noticed that the autobox is what feels like changing down a gear or disengaging overdrive when indicating right at 50 plus mph it seems to do it in sync with the flashing of the bulb so its kinda pulsing if that makes sense like when the bulb comes on...

Have you checked the throttle cable?As if it was the pump i dont think it would run at all?But i may be speaking shite :nenau

I bought some black stonechip and a shutz gun for the wheel arches havent got round to doing it yet but iirc it was around a tenner for a litre and 15 quid for the gun that was from my local motor factors.
