    Airbag recall

I had a letter today too. I wonder if the recall will sort out my flashing airbag light the same time?

Clucking & squealing from front drivers wheel area

Hi, thanks for the responses. It is a 2005 model 2.7. It squeals in a straight line too. <a href="http://s244.photobucket.com/user/zimbokjon/media/CV%20Bearings.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg26/zimbokjon/CV%20Bearings.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo CV...

Clucking & squealing from front drivers wheel area

Hi, I have a list of things I need doing on the Terrano and they are being ticked off slowly but something always seems to come up and go top of the list. The latest problem. Last few days there has been a "clucking / popping" from the front drivers side wheel area, which has now started to...

Bound Bumper missing drivers side rear

Thanks... they are on Ebay but nearly £40 with postage. Lots of other "little" jobs need doing so if it's not desperate I'll leave it. Have to change leak off pipes; change the gearbox oil; I have the oil and bits to do those. Need to change Radio/CD which is kaput; need to change the clutch...

Bound Bumper missing drivers side rear

Hi, Had 2 rear tyres changed today. Noticed one side of Terrano had the "Bound Bumper" (name as per manual) missing. It's that rubber figure of 8 looking thing. I don't do any off-roading or anything so no much bouncing about at the back. Is it a problem if I don't have this on one side? Also...

Is this a "front anti roll bar drop link rod"?

Thanks everyone. I'll have a retry on the weekend. If I had read the workshop link "Changing front near side anti roll bar drop link" properly in the first place that Rustic gave me (which mentioned the Allen key!), maybe I wouldn't be in this situation. Cheers:thumb2

Is this a "front anti roll bar drop link rod"?

Hi, bought the 2 ARB drop links and hoped to change them today. However I have hit a problem. When I try and undo the nut at "1", it won't come off as the whole shaft is moving too. I have tried grips at "2" but not budging. I gave up after two @#£%& hours. I also soaked it in plusgas. No...

Is this a "front anti roll bar drop link rod"?

Hi, I had 2 new front tyres on the Terrano yesterday and had a quick look around when the wheels were off. What is the part pointed out in the photo below? Is this the "anti roll bar drop link rod"? (name taken off Ebay - it looks similar!). If not what is it and is it easy to replace? Wouldn't...

Fluid leak / Leak off pipes?

Thanks everyone for the replies, appreciated as always. I'm going to try changing the leak off pipes. Process of elimination. I've got a hell of a mess on my drive too. The picture below is my parking space in work. I'm trying to convince myself that not all down to the Terrano but also other...

Fluid leak / Leak off pipes?

Hi, in recent weeks I have changed the glow plugs and the engine oil & oil filter. Before the engine oil change I had a fluid leak of sorts evidenced by the oil (?) left on the drive under the engine area. I thought that maybe the oil filter was the problem and that it would be sorted out by...

Engine Oil and oil filter changed today (some photo's)

Thanks all. The filter was just too tight, I couldn't remove by hand. The "chain" filter remover tool definitely not the best for the job as I had great difficulty trying to get it around the filter. It kept slipping off and not gripping, and you just get more and more frustrated. Wouldn't...

    Gearbox oil change

I was under the Terrano today to change the engine oil and filter. Next job is to change the gearbox oil. Whilst I was under I tried to see where the gearbox filler and drain holes were. I took the photo below. Am I right in thinking the two areas circled in the photo are the gearbox filler and...

Engine Oil and oil filter changed today (some photo's)

I changed the engine oil and oil filter today. First of all I couldn't find the oil filter. Jacked the Terrano up on both sides so I could get a good look underneath, couldn't see it. Took the protection plate off under the engine still no luck. Eventually I admitted defeat and had my wife...

    Indicator not working

Thanks for the responses, appreciated. It seems the new bulb I bought for 50p was faulty :doh I tried a different bulb and everything works fine, or does for the time being. Once it gets warm I will need to have a look at the contacts and clean them up.

    Indicator not working

Hi, noticed today that my passenger side rear indicator isn't working. The drivers side works fine (front and back) and the passenger side (front) are ok. Drivers side is flashing fast when indicating right. To me this indicated bulb or fuse gone. Noticed yesterday whilst out that there was a...

    Alternator belt snapped

Evening All. Was out in the Terrano today and noticed that it was becoming harder to start it as the day went on. As if the battery was getting flatter each time I started up. I had a new Bosch battery a few months ago and had changed the glow plugs recently and it now normally starts on the...
