    Car Cover

Cover I think you guys are correct about the possibility of paint damage.I like the idea of a gazebo/tent cover though.Could always tie it down really well in a sheltered spot.Food for thought, thanks for the idea.Never heard of a waterless cleaning system though, tell us more please.

    Rear lights ?????

    Big problems!!

Drain I know that this is a long shot but it could be the starter motor. If you had a full battery and lights working before you tried to start it and the only thing you did was try and start the vehicle perhaps it has something to do with the starter?Just a thought.

    please help clutch pedal

Clutch Sometimes if the slave cyl washer is worn or the bore scored the fluid can bypass it but remain in the system - so no apparent leak.If you have to pump the pedal to be able to select a gear it could be hydraulic.Get someone to check movement of the clutch fork before and after you have...

    limited slip diffs explained

LSD With all that going on something must go wrong. Now I am more worried than before.I think the old Landy (S2 and 3 ) or Patrol that went "clunk" "bing" and "bang" were more reliable.Apologies for the technical terms.:)

    Please help.!

Had a 3.0 Isuzu, went very well - for about 3 months then the High pressure oil pump started leaking, and then, and then !Gone it has,far away. But in a past life I had two Isuzu pick ups,a 1.9 and 2.5 non turbo.Indestructable.

A bit juddery at low rev?

Juddery I only use 5th above 1800/2000 rpm.T2 seems to be comfy at that.My diesel cars were able to handle lower revs in 5th but most of my diesel 4x4's were not happy in 5th unless over 2000rpm.I also stay close to 3000rpm during gear changes - gives me better fuel economy. However saying that...

Is there terrano still good in bad weather when not in 4wd?

4wd I have had various 4x4's from Land Cruiser,Hilux,Isuzu etc. Can't beat the Toyota except on price. So if you have lots of money ...! If not the Terrano is great. The last few weeks have been very slippery here in Ireland and the T2 never missed a trick.4wd was the order of the day when the...

Advice on getting uphill in slippy conditions

Zig Zag Can't say I have much experience in snow but plenty in loose sand - sand dunes etc.We would use a VW beach buggy (no 4wd there) but the only way up was zig zag unless too steep.Let the air out of the tires a bit to put more surface on the snow/mud.??This helps a great deal on loose sand...

    Priceless

A lady walks into Harrods. She looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly farts. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little woops and prays that a sales person...

WHEN DO I USE 4x4 OPTION.

Made it! Well we made the journey there and back without incident. Our minor road was a bit of a nightmare as no grit whatsoever.Problem is the snow has been compacted on the road and has frozen into slippo deluxe overnight. There is hardly any traffic so the surface is still intact. The gritted...

WHEN DO I USE 4x4 OPTION.

4wd Tomorrow is the test.I am near Wexford in Ireland.(Not sure if it was a good move yet)And we have been well and truly snowed in for a week.I did venture out on Monday and the old T2 behaved perfectly. It's all the numties in front wheel drive cars that are the real problem. The roads are...

    Terrano 4wd problem

4wd Definitely not normal.I am in 4H most of the time at the moment here in Ireland. The minor roads are untreated and like glass so seldom get above 30mph in 3rd gear.Without 4wd I would be up a tree.No jerks or pulling at all.Just the usual pull if you make a tight turn or reverse.Do you have...
