Hi all My 98 t2 tdi has been running great for past yr but the other night i was on a run and i lost power and it started to chuff white smoke. I managed to get it home but now she wont rev any more than 2.5k and bellows white smoke and engine light is on. I used the download to get the codes...

Gas. Its been stud for a few yrs but used to run well. They havnt tried it since so they say i might be lucky and turn up with a big battery and fuel and it fire up.:bow

pull the trailer on the trailer back wards and jack the weight up move the fork lift forward and strap it down. maybe lol.:confused:

Thanks, a freind has offered to drive my t2 with a twin axle trailer on and ill go in the navara with a another trailer. Strip the counter weight off which i would estimate at being 1.5 to 2 ton thus making the fork lift 2 ton ish. Well it might work????????

Im not that sad (well hope not lol). Fork lift is for my unit that i do my own work and stock cars from.

Yeh as i realise now but wen i bidded on the fork lift it was 2 tonne but now he says its 3.8 so he has done me in a way. o well ill sort something.

Given the choice of towing a good load i would take the t2 as it feels more sturdy but the fuel card for the navara sways me every time. :sly

Fair coment plank. I fetched the t2 lwb that im breaking with the navara/trailer plus my navara weights 2.9ton with the tools and stuff i carry for work so like you say i need to be carefull. I thought i only needed a tacko if it was work related. But with me paying the tax man to use my nav...

Tezzer dont suppose you are anywhere near chelmsford? this is where the fork lift is at the min. If so do you no of any body that could deliver at a good price? :nenau

Yea so iv realised but iv since discovered the fork lift weights 3.8 on its own never mind the ivor williams tipper trailer aswell. I might have to find a 7.5 tonner. :(

Hi all iv bought a fork lift off ebay that weights 2.5 ton so i could do with a decent plant trailer to fetch it so does any body no of any trailer hire places in the midlands. I have acess to an ivor williams that can carry 3.5 ton but the trailer its self is high and 23ft long. Any help...

Hi all im looking for the max weight i can tow with my 98t2 lwb and for my 08 navara sport king cab as i do a lot of towing so need to no if im legal and im looking at pulling a trailer with a 2.5 ton fork lift on it. thanks :confused:
